The Hidden Histories Seminar (29-30 November, 2016) was organised by Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery, and hosted in conjunction with Plymouth University with funding from Arts Council England. The seminar brought together funders and exemplar projects which explore previously ‘hidden’ aspects of diverse histories, including black history, LGBT, faith and disability.

Queer Beyond London’s Justin Bengry spoke about the need for local histories of LGBTQ lives and communities, and of the need for intersectionality in this research. His talk was recorded and appears here courtesy of Hidden Histories and the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery.
